Contemporary Criminal Justice Issue Of Racial Profiling 2+ Pages

Overview: For this assignment, you will submit your in-depth analysis of the contemporary criminal justice issue of Racial Profiling. This analysis will identify factors contributing to the issue by examining the criminological theories behind it. Specifically, what criminological theory forms your understanding of Racial Profiling?

Indicate the impact of this issue on the criminal justice system.

For example, how does the issue impact law enforcement, the courts, and corrections?

Address the negative impacts of the issue on the criminal justice system, the general public, and specific populations.

Then, identify the strategies to influence change. Be sure to cite any data you have analyzed so far, data which you will rely upon to provide recommendations to your criminal justice issue in both the Module Six Short Paper and your Milestone Three submission in Module Seven.

Prompt: Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

II. Issue Analysis

A. Select a criminological theory that informs your understanding of the issue, justifying yourselection.

B. Identify factors contributing to the issue, justifying your identifications with the selected criminological theory. In other words, what are the factors contributing to the issue? How is the identification of these factors supported by the selected theory?

C. Describe how the issue impacts the criminal justice system, providing specific examples of how the branches of the criminal justice system are affected by the issue. For example, how does the issue impact law enforcement, the courts, and corrections?

D. Describe how the issue impacts the general public, providing specific examples. Does the issue affect specific populations?

E. Determine the key stakeholders of the issue, identifying both the key people impacted by the issue, as well as those with the power to influence change. Justify your selections.

F. Describe strategies that are currently employed to address the issue. These strategies may be used in the community with the issue, or in a different community with the same issue.

G. Assess the effectiveness of the previously identified strategies in addressing the issue, justifying your assessment. How effectively do the strategies combat the issue, and where are there gaps?

H. How does your previous assessment impact the specific branches of the criminal justice system? Justify your response. In which branches are the strategies most and least effective?

Guidelines for Submission: Your submission should include reference to recent peer-reviewed articles, be at least 2 pages in length (in addition to title and reference pages) and should use double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Use APA style to cite your sources within the text of your paper and on the reference page. Refer to the Criminal Justice Library Tips document for assistance in finding and citing outside sources. The Problem-Solving Strategies and Sample document demonstrates how a problem-solving strategy can be applied to help find a solution to a problem.

Article Summary Assignment-uncertainty reduction theory

2. The theory which assigned to me is “uncertainty reduction theory”, please write under this theory.

3. And I have also take the pictures of the definition and other information about this theory from the book and put in the attachment, too.

4. If you need to enter Communication & Mass Media Complete, because I’m not sure if only students account could go to this database, just contact me.

5. The essay is an essay for the presentation which I need to submit to the professor, and I’ll create the powerpoint according to the essay by myself.

Thank you so much.

Aristocratic Decadence

What is “Aristocratic Decadence”? To what extent is Emily Grierson in William Faulkner’s “A Rose for Emily” a victim of gender, class and patriarchal society? Discuss. Format the essay with an Introduction, 3 Body Paragraphs, and a Conclusion. Use 2 sources from the story and cite from the story.

Research Paper

Need 5 pages. Page 1: Intro of industry, Page 2-4: analysis of industry, Page 5: conclusion.

In pages 2-4, must have exhibits that are labeled/numbered correctly at the end and referenced inside the paper.

Need additional 5 outside sources (not google/internet). Along with normal internet sources.

Cyber Security : Discussions

PS: Please provide at least 2 references at the end of each discussion.

4. What do you believe to be the most compelling reason to migrate information to the cloud? What is your biggest security concern about doing so?

5.  Many believe that cloud computing can reduce the total cost of computing and enhance green computing (environmental friendly). Why do you believe this to be correct? If you disagree, please explain why?

6.  Explain in your own words why you believe planning is important. Select one of the following businesses: a large bank, a government agency, or a hospital, and explain which systems you feel are mission critical. Then explain how the loss of these systems would affect the organization.

7.  Have you or someone you know ever received a chain letter, phishing message, or some other fraudulent message via email? If so, please share this experience. Explain what type of message it was and what you did to get rid of it.

8.  What do you think is the single greatest physical threat to information systems? Fire? Hurricanes? Sabotage? Terrorism? Something else? Discuss this question and provide support for your answer.

9.  In a corporate, networked setting, should end users be allowed to install applications on their company workstations, whether the applications are on a DVD or downloaded from the Internet? Be sure to weigh security against usability.

10.  Many people believe that the use of biometrics is an invasion of privacy. For example, an eye scanning device records the inner structure of a persons eye and stores that image in a database. Critics worry that databases of human traits used to maintain corporate security may actually pose a privacy threat to individuals, if such data were used in other ways. In your view, are such concerns justified? Why or why not?

11.  Do you believe that all data should be encrypted? Many computing professionals think this is a good idea. But a small number of computing experts feel that no data should be encryptedthat all data and software should be openly available to anyone who wants it. Explain your answer (whether you believe all data should or should not be encrypted).

13.  A digital forensics professional must know basic IT skills, understand computer architecture and networking, and have analytical and investigative skills, as well as strong attention to detail. Why do think all of these skills are necessary?

14.  If you could, what would you do to help create a national security culture, in which everyone is more knowledgeable and proactive about threats to information security?

You are required to complete this discussion before submitting the unit assignment.

For this discussion, complete the following:

  • Match one of your three questions to a research methodology.
  • Describe the methodology (23 paragraphs) and research model (for  example, Giorgiempirical phenomenology, and Moustakastranscendental  phenomenology).
  • Provide a rationale for how this methodology will lead to an answer for the research question.
  • Once you have received feedback from other learners, complete the  unit assignment based on your revised discussion post. Remember, the  earlier in the week you post, the more time other learners have to give  feedback.

Any topic (writer’s choice)

Module Project

This week you will continue working on your Module Project. The purpose of the Module Project is to apply the concepts and techniques of the module to the analysis of real-world situations or problems. You are expected to carry out an original analysis rather than summarise or rehash existing work.

Your task for Week 6 is to prepare and hand in a first draft of the Module Project. The first draft must adhere to style requirements, but is less rigorous in nature than the Module Project. The Week 6 draft will:

Be limited to 2,000 words plus bibliography and attachments (limited to models, data, and diagrams that illustrate relationships). At this stage the bibliography and attachments will not be assessed for style.

Make cogent (professionally valid) conclusions and demonstrate relationships to practices and themes.

Be considered a draft for grading purposes. It is understood that the project will still require further refinement in content, conclusions, and linking models. However, at Week 6 the basic framework for the Module Project must be developed.

The professor will provide commentary concerning style, comprehensiveness of conclusions, and proper use of models.

The Week 6 draft will be assessed (graded) for quality of thought; inclusion of the observations, research, and findings that address the financial practices and themes of the project; and, quality of written expression.

Remarkable Clinical Teacher

Word recognition is a serious problem for learners with special needs; the inability to recognize printed words or comprehend new ones prevents normal development of other reading skills in children and could even affect their entire school life.  Most psychologists attribute this deficiency to a lack of phonetic training; hence, the need to adopt different techniques for both reading and mastering word recognition.

Dr. Grace Fernalds was a clinical teacher at UCLA. She created the Kinesthetic approach, which involved writing in the air as well as tracing words in large written or scripted format (Lerner,2015, p.79). Interaction with struggling learners enabled her to develop a multisensory approach to teaching spelling, which utilizes not only the conventional auditory and visual techniques but tactile and kinesthetic, as well. Her class had fewer than 16 pupils () for every two pupils, there was a student teacher who was a UCLA trainee. Dr. Fernald was in the background circulating among the pupils and the student teachers (Lerner,2015, p.79).  Dr. Fernalds proposal to incorporate physical with auditory, verbal, and visual cues continues to be implemented by guide educators today.

Dr. Fernalds method instruction was quite interesting. Every day, each pupil had to dictate a story to his/her student, the teacher wrote it all down. Next day, the teachers would bring the story back typed up on a special typewriter that made letters about half inch in height. The students read the stories to the teachers from the neatly typed manuscript, and then, the students would practice some of the words of the story written on big cards, tracing and spelling them. While one of the student teachers pupils was reciting the story, the other was doing the word practice, including softly repeating the story and tracing words (Lerner, 2015, p.79). Furthermore, this learning technique has influenced the works of other researchers in the field of reading difficulties during her time.

Fernalds multisensory approach continues to benefit both special needs children and those who may not have difficulties in learning and paying attention. Her work also contributed to the commercial production of materials such as special typewriters, which special needs students use to type manuscript; this approach has eased their learning process because they are now able to trace words and learn how to spell them. Furthermore, the increased sophistication in the diagnosis of learning difficulties in recent years has pushed more special educators to embrace Fernalds kinesthetic methods to teach learners who appear to be unresponsive to both visual and auditory methods. Ultimately, the multisensory approach has ensured that more students take an active role in learning; this kind of hands-on method has been crucial in enhancing special needs learners ability to collect and remember information, connect new and old information, and work through different learning complexities.

One Pege then read the following article: is-white-supremacy-still-alive-and-well-in-this-philadelphia-building-trades-union Note: GM Powertrain is a unionized facility who votes for their union officers of which some of the union officers get paid $50,000 to $100,000 Now answer the following questions: 1. Define the problem that GM Powertrain and Philly is experiencing as it relates to diversity and inclusion. 2. If the employees with power (the ability to influence due to either large numbers or protection by the union) are doing the harassing and they vote for union memberswho will the union protect and why? Will they protect the harassed employees or those doing the harassing, why? 3. What does this scenario have to do with the following statements: Having a certain identity that society values can provide you power. Belonging to a group with power can provide you protection in the workplace. 4. Now read the following: Based upon this reading, state three things that GM Powertrain and Philly should have done and three things they should not do as the scenario plays out. 5. Do you think that diversity training of the employees would help with these scenarios, why or why not?
