Reviews on John Sonsini’s cowboys serials

Please read the link above first, then edit/rewrite and expand the contents to tune the paper smoother, but don’t go go to crazy. I’d want my original thoughts to still be in the final tuned paper, but just need better grammar, words and more. This is an essay purely about reviews and thoughts, so no bibliography is required. About 350-550 words.

Novel food processing

Based on the Novel Food European Union Legislation, for each of the following processes very briefly discuss one case in which the product is likely deemed novel food and one case which product is not likely deemed to be novel food. In each case, explain why.
I.    Ohmic Heating
II.    High-Pressure Processing
III.    Supercritical Extraction
IV.    Food Emulsion Processing

Visual Art and Observation of the Environment

In the words of A. Berleant,  “environments are not physical places but perceptual ones that we collaborate in making, and it is perceptually that we determine their identity and extent.” The starting point of aesthetic environmental education is precisely this phenomenal environment. Art, for its part, has a long tradition of studying the phenomenal environment.

Here we study the relationship between the human and natural worlds in art, as well as the techniques artists use to convey ideas, by exploring images and how they invoke psychological/emotional connection to the natural world.

Using Google or any other search engine, locate an image of your choice and discuss how the image works to present an argument for emotional connection/relationship with nature/natural world.

Think of ways in which nature is represented in art/image/sculpture and the its effect as you write.

Several excellent videos are available to expand your understanding of the socialization process and children with special needs. The goal of this assignment is for you to see how socialization and children with special needs work together. Choose one video from the video list which is of interest to you. After viewing the video, prepare a written report, which includes:

1 Using your own words, a brief summary of the video (less than 1 page) including information on the main characters and the storyline. (5 points)
2. Explore the role of the parent or primary caregiver had in the childs life. What aspects of their role were different than for parents of children who develop typically? What strengths and weaknesses did you see in their relationship with their child? (10 points)
3. What struck you about the child with the special need in the video? From viewing this video, what ideas do you want to remember about children or adults who have a special need? Explain your answer with specific examples. (10 points)
4. Based on your personal experiences with individuals who have a special need, describe your experience. Be sure to include the agents of socialization of family and school. Is there a special need that you want to explore or have more experience with? Be specific in your answer. (15 points)

Follow the writing format for this assignment. Note the video title, director, and release date near the top of the first page. This paper should be approximately 3 pages in length.

REMEMBER: No assignments will be accepted after their due date. All assignments are typed and double-spaced. All assignments will be submitted in Canvas using the assignment tool.

Computer Science Assignment 2

In this assignment, the encryption algorithm we use encrypts (or decrypt) one letter of the message at a time.

First, we will remove all characters that are not letters from the plaintext message and also convert all lowercase letters to uppercase. This means that whitespace, digits and punctuation are lost in the encryption process, leaving only uppercase letters of the alphabet. Next, we convert the letters to numbers based on their place in the alphabet (A is represented as 0, B as 1, C as 2, …, Y as 24, and Z as 25). We’ll use the resulting sequence of these numbers as input to the encryption algorithm.

After the letters are converted to numbers (remember, we’re only converting capital letters here), the encryption algorithm generates a special number for each position in the plaintext message. These special numbers are called keystream values. To encrypt each letter, the numeric letter value and the corresponding keystream value are added, modulo 26, and then the resulting number is converted to its letter form. The two numbers that are added are the number corresponding to the letter in the plaintext, and the keystream value for the position of the letter in the plaintext.

Decryption is just the inverse of encryption. Start by converting the letters in the ciphertext to be decoded to numbers, in the same way as the original plaintext message was converted. Then, use the encryption algorithm again to generate a special number for each position in the ciphertext. Subtract these special numbers from the numbers from the ciphertext, again modulo 26. Finally, convert the resulting numbers to letters to recover the plaintext message.

The only other requirement for the encryption and decryption processes to work is that both encryption and decryption use the same sequence of keystream values. In our algorithm, we’ll use a representation of a deck of playing cards to generate keystream values. The encryption and decryption algorithms need to start with the same decks.

God’s message for you

Read chapter 3 from Bickel, B. & Jantz, S. (Page 59-83). Knowing the Bible 101. I attached the pdf so you can read it online. After reading the story of the Bible in this format (with the five acts), answer the following questions. Write your answers in 2 pages.
1.    According to Bickel and Jantz (1998), what is the main theme of the Bible? (Provide cited support from your text for this theme.).
Answer: According to Bickel and Jantz (1998), the main theme of the bible for both new and old testaments is Jesus. (page 63).
2.    How does this theme compare to your current view or understanding of the Bible?
Answer: The Bible is inspired by God (2 Timothy 316:17). The Bible is breathed out by God (2 Tim. 3:16). Its writers spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:21). To understand what is written, therefore, we must have our eyes opened by that same Holy Spirit.
3.    How can understanding the big picture of the Bible help you as you seek to apply Scripture to course content? (Provide specific examples to support your response.)
Answer: Understanding the big picture of the Bible can help me throughout this class for a number of reasons. One reason is that when writing a paper, I can relate verses in the bible to a real-life experience. Another reason is Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Final Paper: Research Proposal- Depression

Your Research Proposal is a six- to seven-page plan for a new study on your research topic. Incorporate at least four scholarly/peer-reviewed journal articles in addition to the course text to support your proposed study.

Include the following sections and content in your paper:

Introduction Introduce the research topic, explain why it is important, and present your research question and/or hypothesis.

Literature Review Summarize the current state of knowledge on your topic by citing the methods and findings of at least two previous research studies. State whether your proposed study is a replication of a previous study or a new approach using methods that have not been used before.

Design Indicate whether your proposed study is qualitative or quantitative in approach. Select one of the research designs you have studied in the course, and indicate whether it is experimental or non-experimental. Evaluate why this design is appropriate for your research topic. Cite the textbook and one other source on research methodology to support your choice.

Participants Identify the sampling strategy you would use to recruit participants for your study. Estimate the number of participants you would need and explain why your sampling method is appropriate for your research approach.

Procedure/Measures Apply the scientific method by describing the steps you would use in carrying out your study. Indicate whether you will use any kind of test, questionnaire, or measurement instrument. Cite the source of any instruments to be used.

Data Analysis Describe the statistical techniques (if quantitative) or the analysis procedure (if qualitative) you plan to use to analyze the data. Cite at least one source on the chosen analysis technique.

Ethical Issues Analyze the impact of ethical concerns on your proposed study, such as confidentiality, deception, informed consent, potential harm to participants, conflict of interest, IRB approval, etc. Explain how you would address these concerns.
Conclusion Briefly summarize the major points of your research plan and reiterate why your proposed study is needed.
